Review policy
Reviews on BigMA help people choose a martial arts school. They must be honest and about a real visit.
Who can write a review
- Anyone who has trained at the school, or a parent of a student. You sign in with your email address.
- One review per school per person. You can change or delete your review at any time.
- The school’s owners and staff cannot review their own school.
What a review must not contain
- Content that is false, or about a school you did not visit.
- Content about a different school, or about something that is not the school.
- Links, phone numbers, email addresses or other personal details.
- Hate, threats, harassment or sexual content.
- Advertising, or a review given in return for a reward or a discount.
How we check reviews
Automatic checks look at each review when you post it. A review that passes goes live at once. A review that the checks flag waits until a person at BigMA reads it.
Anyone can report a review, and a school can flag a review with a reason. A person then checks the review against this policy. The review stays up while we check it.
What schools cannot do
- A school cannot pay to remove a review, to hide a review or to change the order of reviews.
- We never remove a review only because it is negative.
- A school may ask all its students for reviews, but not only its happy students.
- A school can post one public reply to each review.
Badges
“Booked through BigMA” shows when the writer contacted or booked the school through BigMA before the review.
